New Access Bridge

A new bridge to give access to the Clifton’s section of the River Trent has recently been installed. Access to this section has been impossible since the Wildlife Trust who manage Witches Oak Water removed our previous bridge, without authority. The new bridge has been a joint project with Severn Trent, the club purchased the bridge and Severn Trent’s contractors have installed it. Although the bridge is in place access will not be permitted until Severn Trent have completed their works to the water intake from the Trent to Witches Oak, which is anticipated to be late June.
The bridge will allow access for the Club’s mowing equipment so Bankside access will be improved as well. We will keep you updated as to when you can access the section.
