Our Waters

Canals

We lease a 3-mile stretch of canal near Aston on Trent and Weston on Trent, offering year-round coarse fishing. The Cliff section provides the best spots, and the canal holds a variety of fish. Two access points offer ample safe parking.

Coarse Rivers

Our club holds exclusive fishing rights over 10+ miles of the River Trent, from Swarkestone to below Shardlow, with additional stretches at Ingleby and Barrow on Trent. On the South Bank, access runs from upstream of Swarkestone Bridge to half a mile above the Derwent confluence, except for a small section near the Priest House Hotel. The North Bank extends from 1.5 miles below Swarkestone to half a mile above the Derwent. We also control a one-mile stretch of Markeaton Brook, from Kedleston's bottom lake outfall downstream.

Game Rivers

We provide access to several rivers in Derbyshire, offering excellent fly fishing for trout and grayling. The waters feature a mix of deep pools, glides, and riffles, with good hatches of mayfly, olive, and sedge throughout the season. Some sections are exclusive to trout ticket members, ensuring a quality angling experience in scenic surroundings. Well-maintained tracks and designated parking areas ensure convenient access to the banks.

Still Waters

Our club maintains eight still water fisheries in Derbyshire, each offering unique angling experiences. These waters are home to a variety of coarse fish species, providing year-round fishing opportunities. Well-maintained access points and parking facilities ensure convenience for all members. Please refer to individual fishery guidelines for specific rules and regulations.
