Findern Crossing Pool
This small former ballast pit of half an acre and is quite shallow and heavily weeded but holds a variety of species including carp, tench, perch, pike and rudd. Fishing is only possible from the five pegs on the bank accessed from the canal, fishing is not allowed on the railway bank.
Access to the pool is along the Trent and Mersey canal towpath about ½ mile walk from Willington but is worth it if you want some good tench fishing.
Members wishing to fish the Pool are allowed to use the carpark at Mercia Marina.
