We have 1.75 miles of single bank fishing here approximately 1 mile downstream of Rocester.
The predominate species are trout and grayling, offering excellent fly fishing with a good mayfly hatch in late May / early June. Chub and barbel are also are present but in smaller numbers compared with Tutbury and Scropton, even so the section produces chub to 6lbs and the occasional pike to 20lbs.
Access is by a tarmac farm road to a parking area on the river bank at the top of the section.
